A Life Partner Academy Community

When a marriage ends, life doesn't. Divorce and khula may close one chapter, but they do not define your future.

THE D.A.R.K. CLUB

D.A.R.K. — Divorce And Rising Khula

A Community for Those Who Have Walked Through the Darkness — and Are Rising.

A confidential, compassionate space for those recovering from divorce or khula. Not to relive it — to heal, grow, and rise together.

"Indeed, with hardship comes ease."— Qur'an 94:5–6

⏳ CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT

This is not a matchmaking platform.

This is not a place to criticize a former spouse.

This is not a substitute for professional counselling.

We believe every healthy marriage should be preserved whenever possible. Our mission begins when a marriage has already ended.

This will be a place to:

  • Connect with people who understand your journey
  • Speak in confidence, without judgment
  • Feel less alone in a season that often feels isolating
  • Find hope from people further along the same road
  • Be gently guided toward more support, if and when you need it

Why This Name

Divorce and khula can feel like walking through darkness — isolating, disorienting, heavy. We're not pretending otherwise. But darkness is not the end of the story; it's the part that comes before rising. THE D.A.R.K. CLUB takes that word back — not as a place to stay, but as an honest starting point for where every member here is headed: forward, upward, rising.

Who Is This Community For?

  • Individuals who have experienced divorce.
  • Individuals who have obtained khula.
  • Those rebuilding their lives after the end of a marriage.
  • Those seeking hope, healing and growth.
A Personal Note

Why I Started The D.A.R.K. Club

Over the years, through Life Partner Academy, I've had the privilege of meeting people at every stage of the marriage journey. I've counselled young people preparing for marriage, full of hope and questions. I've sat with couples struggling within their marriage, trying to find their way back to each other. I've supported others fighting, with everything they had, to save a marriage worth saving.

But there was another group I met too — one I wasn't originally looking for.

People whose marriages had already ended.

Some through divorce. Some through khula, often after years of quiet struggle before finally choosing their own wellbeing. Almost all of them told me some version of the same thing: they felt forgotten. Not by Allah — but by their communities. Conversations grew quieter around them. Invitations became less frequent. Well-meaning advice often arrived wrapped in judgment, even when none was intended.

What struck me most was this: none of them were asking to be told they'd failed. They already knew their own pain intimately. What they needed wasn't more analysis of what went wrong — it was simply somewhere to belong while they figured out what comes next.

They didn't need judgment. They needed hope.

That is why THE D.A.R.K. CLUB was born — not as an alternative to marriage, not as a place to relive what happened, but as a community for the chapter that comes after: rebuilding, healing, and rising, together with others who understand exactly what that road feels like.

I still believe, wholeheartedly, that every healthy marriage deserves everything we can offer to help it survive and thrive — that will always be the heart of Life Partner Academy's work. But when a marriage has already ended, my hope is that this community becomes the place where the next chapter begins — with dignity, with support, and with genuine hope for what's still ahead.
